A Message from our President March 2010 I wanted to give an convention update. We had a awesome weekend in Macon for the 2010 GSFA Convention. It was great to see everyone and to experience wonderful educational programs. I would like to say thank you to all of our sponsors and vendors for all of their support. Without you the convention wouldn't have been possible. Also the designers were amazing! Thanks to Deborah DeLaFlor AIFD, PFCI, Cindy Tole, Andy Hopper AIFD, Shelayne Thompson and Renato Segueco. Job well done!!!! Congratulations to Kathy Deitz GMF!! Kathy was named GSFA's 2010 Designer of the Year! There was really a lot of great talent this year. I am so proud of everyone. Speaking of talent, this year's Burton Cup competition was awesome! We had 7 entries and wow were they all good. GSFA has a lot of great talent across the state. I am so Proud of you all. Congratulations to Jenna Naylor the 2010 winner of the Burton Cup and Sherry Moon AIFD, GMF won the People's Choice award for the Burton Cup. I would also like to congratulate Hollie Cothern GMF, Gayle Lowe GMF and Josh Steele GMF on achieving the Georgia Master Florist Certification. Welcome to the GMF family. Scholarships were awarded to Joey Farringtion CFD and Gayle Lowe GMF. Sherry Moon AIFD, GMF was awarded the Dick TImmons Service Award and Goggan's Florist was awarded Retailer of the Year. The staff of Delorice's Florist, Teresa Purvis, Hollie Cothern GMF, Joey Farringtion CFD and Delora Music were awarded the President's Award. Reeves Floral Products was awarded the Wholesaler of the year. Congratulations to all! Again thanks to all of those would help to make this past weekend a success!
