Organizing “Flowers over Georgia” is an idea that we borrowed from other Floral Industry Conventions.

Many of the fresh flowers used during convention remain after the convention is over. In an attempt to recycle the flowers, arrangements will be made from the remaining product on hand and any arrangements we can recycle will be made into new designed, fresh arrangements. The FFA students will be working closely with some of our designers on Monday after convention. Once the arrangements have been completed, we will deliver them to various local hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice fro others to enjoy.

It is indeed a privilege to work with flowers, and those of us who work with flowers on a daily basis can become too accustomed to their beauty. It is indeed a privilege for us to be able to share the beauty and wonder of flowers with those who need a lift in their lives.
